Conquering the Altitude

Behind us is the MT. BATULAO located at Nasugbu, Batangas. Jump-off point: Evercrest Golf Course, Nasugbu LLA: 14.0408 N 120.8011 E 811 MASL Days required / Hours to summit: 1 day / 2-4 hours Specs: Minor climb, Difficulty 4/9, Trail class 3 with 60-70 degrees assault Features: Open trails, rolling slopes, scenic views of Batangas
On our way to the 1st peak, we decided to grab a Buko Juice as our refreshments. ^_^

My favorite part of the trail because of the trees for shading from a long walk under the heat of the sun (atlast) and cold air coming from it
.
Finally we arrived at the last peak of the trail and then we eat our packed-lunch at the base camp before we go through the summit.

PICO DE LORO
Ternate, Cavite
Major jump-off: Magnetic Hill, Ternate
LLA: 14° 12.855 N; 120° 38.785 E; 664 MASL
Days required / Hours to summit: 1-2 days / 2-5 hours
Specs: Minor climb, Difficulty 3/9, Trail class 1-3

We rented a Jeepney for P2500 (two-way) for the whole group to send us to DENR wherein we should make our registration. I caught Ate ems' (at my side) hiccups (hahahaha). Some of my trek buddies are from night shift so they decided to take a power nap during the ride.

Assault!!! We prepare at the registration area and  pay for the environmental fees,etc,.. (Ph20 each)

We arrive at the base camp 1 for approximately 1hr. Luckily no one was there yet,  we can do whatever we want(haha) we prepared our packed-lunch then decided to eat that is enough for the whole trail.

Since we need to have plenty of water during the trail we re-filled our water containers enough for each of us and for our overnight stay at the base camp. We also need to prepare ourselves to an additional of 2Liters each backpack for the reserve water. (whew)

ate our luch on our preferred cottage

We continued out trail after we ate our power lunch.. ^_^ until we get to the "Pico de Loro" sign. We did not yet proceed to the trail beacuse we all want to make a dip on the "falls" of the mountain..

Water was not that big but enough for us to release the heat on our body plus the countless sweats.. whew!

another post to catch our breath after a long uphill trial.

Finally we arrive at the base camp 2, caught by the picturesque view upon our arrival.

Before we proceed to the peak, we decided to set our tents also to lessen our weight up to the peak.

Then we proceed to the peak.
Trail to the summit is not easy because of its stiffness plus the wind that pushing us to the other side.

My shots at the peak of Pico De Loro with 360 view of its surroundings.

My group decided not to climb the other peak (parrot's beak) since we are not equipped to to it. Maybe next time.(hehe)
